About Costa del Carping

Dave started fishing for Carp on local lakes in Dartford (Brooklands), Horton, Kirby, Darenth and Sutton 27 years ago.

His carp fishing career has brought him great fish and great friends. Dave has caught hundreds of fish in England, with his biggest being the famous 40 pounder called twotone from Chichester on the Vinnetrow complex. After his experiences in England, Dave started to fish abroad in France. On the lake Foret de Orient he caught his largest Carp of 52 lb. At other places in France, like for example Orient and Lac de Der, Dave has caught numerous 40s and 30s.

After many years of fishing abroad in different counttries, Dave discovered in 1988 the many lakes of Gran Canaria, where he started catching many fish. Dave has set the island record of 55lb 2oz common carp and has had numerous 40s. In 2002, he started his fishing company, where he has now expanded into the best carp fishing holiday excursion on the island. Many holiday makers with a fishing passion like Daves, have joined his excursion and broke their personal best!

Dave and the team offer you carp fishing primerely, but new for 2010, is float, feeder and pole fishing, along with our fly/lure fishing for the Bass. We are still offering our 2 day promotion for the sea fishing on the Bluemarlin3.

Thanks to Dave's passion for carp he has several known friends in the fishing scene like Martin Locke from Solar, who he has fished with for many years and remains friends with and supplies our bait and is also the world carp holder for the biggest carp 2010 a 94lb!!! Fishing friend Rod Hutchinson who has written an article in France for the book carp scene, an another very good friend Jon Macilister, who is doing very well for himself, in his fishing career.

Dave and the company have come a long way since 2002, we now work with Thomas cook and Thomson and First choice and Sunway holidays, just speak to your holiday rep and they can make your reservation. Dave has also raised money for a childrens charity in 2008, where we held a big 3 day fishing event for 30 german celebritys, we raied 155,00 euros. Last year 2009 we were the world carp classic sponsors and we are again, for 2010. Also for this year we are sponsors for carping4cancer in the UK, for both events, we are giving away 1 weeks holiday for 2 fishing with an apartment!
