Latest news 14jul:What a fantastic 3 days, on the 09th july,we started a 3day event with a famous fishing club from Germany called Royal Fishing, this event was sponsored by the Gran Canaria tourist and government offices and we worked together with the Blue Marlin 3 sport fishing boat. All the clients that we both had over the 3 days were all famous German Celebritys. They were flown in by helicopter which took off from Mogan, and landed at the lake, where we escorted them to the areas where we were fishing. We managed to catch 21 carp all ranging from 20 to 25lb and they were all caught in 5 to 6hours,then the clients all had a few hours fishing for bass, either with a fly rod from the bank or on our new belly boats!we had 11 people a day. This event will be made into a DVD and shown around the world along with many magazine articles within Europe, such a s Blinker, Esox and many sport fishing magazines. The Blue marlin boat caught a 300kilo marlin, sadly lost one but we both had an incredible 3 days fishing.Something new we will be offering soon, is helicopter carp trips, where you can choose to fly to the lake by air,to give you extra fishing time, and travel back by open top jeep and look at the island by air,and arrive at the lake in 6minutes!We have a new page for this comming soon. The DVD of the day will also be on the website soon and will also be free with every magazine,so look out for it, what ever country you are from within Europe. If you would like to look at the Royal fishing website its www.royalfishing.de.I would just like to say before the event we had some really good fishing days with many clients with some good catched of up to 3 fish a day. Thanks to all our clients, and here at canary island carp fishing tours,we hope you had a great day with us and a good holida, see you next year. There are a few some changes to the website and more comming soon, so keep looking!
cheers Dave and the team....

To let you all know, this was a superb day, we was gobsmacked by the drive, in an open top jeep, the same route as the jeep safaris,1 hour from puerto rico, this day made our holiday. The fishing was fantastic, not just catching the fish, but just sitting their, with nobody else around was enough! We spent 8 hours at the lake, a perfect chillout, so much we will still in tonight, because drinking would ruin the day,and yes we had 2 fish, a 23lb and 25lb, a great day,I hope you all read this!
thanks Dave for a great day out!

UPDATE :14MAY The 55lb 20z common, fell to a mainline active 8 popup, straight off the lead, this is truely a great fish for this island,we are spending a lot of time looking for waters in the north of the island, these are some of the oldest resovoirs on the island, and were stocked with carp, some 40years ago. These lakes are more difficult to fish, as they are steep and mountainess, and the stocks of carp are far less than the other lakes, but we believe much bigger!we will keep you informed and how we get on

I really like the look of the north lake, near Las Palmas, we didnt catch but we will definately will be going back for another go!We have caught many a fish from Chira, over the years, but this is very different, this lake holds some hidden jewels in the crown!I will be putting a note on the carp forum, as idiots keep saying there are no 40s or commons on Gran Canaria, if these so called carp anglers bothered to put as much homework into their fishing as Dave does, Iam sure these individuals would go up the ladder. You Dave, have put so many rod hours on Chira, with your clientsit stands to reason, how you get so many fish!I had a 41lb 8 with this company, and I weighed this fish on my own scales, yes 41lb 8!!so all you lot who critisised, you should work a bit harder, this guy has been fishing these lakes for 20years, so put that in your pipes and smoke it!
see you with the boys, for thebig event in July!
